CES during the health crisis

#LindeAgainstCOVID19

It has really been very hard weeks. The facilities tripled and had to be done in record time. The availability of materials to carry out the gas installations were and are still scarce, since the demand came all at once and the markets collapsed, even certain sectors closed.

Many installations have been carried out uninterruptedly (mornings, nights and weekends).

Fortunately, we have been able to fulfill all the tasks and no medical center has been left without our assistance. Where we could not use the standard material due to lack of stock, we had to improvise quickly looking for the best solution in each case. And the truth is that the results have been excellent, once again, we have lived up to it. Our installers, both internal and external, have acted in an exemplary manner, not only with the contribution of labor, but also with ideas and possible solutions in order to speed up the assembly and compensate for the lack of certain materials, always maintaining quality standards. and security. Zero accidents and zero contagions. The spirits at some point have been overwhelmed because it seemed, sometimes, that the pace of work did not stop and that only meant that the solution to the pandemic was still far away. As an example, when we started the field hospital of the Fira de Barcelona, an assembly of more than 3,000 beds was designed, the forecast was terrible. Finally, only two phases have been carried out with a total of 1,000 beds and, fortunately, so far, they have not had to be used. It is comforting to know that they will not be necessary despite the immense work that has been done from all Linde departments.

Anyway, I think that we have been more than up to the circumstances and that a bit of Linde is among all those who have suffered the virus first hand and have received our oxygen to fight it
